Skaraotsky is a Demon, he is a diable, and don't have wings. According to Romanian demonology, Skaraotski is the "Tartar" (Chieff) of the Hell, Tartar of all the diables. Romanian writer, Ion Creeangă write about Skaraotsky in his work, Ivan Turbincă , in 1855: "Scaraoschi is the header of the Hell and all the diables ask him everythig, diables don't makes any actions without asking advice of the tartar. He is the most powerfull diable".
